Launch of "Smart ACES", a service to enhance emergency patient acceptance system

Smart119 has launched "Smart ACES", a service that enables medical personnel to smoothly conduct emergency calls through their own computers and smartphones, to general medical institutions.
In hospitals that accept emergency patients, there are cases where requests to admit emergency patients overlap at the same time, making it difficult to respond due to lack of manpower.
Until now, emergency calls for doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel have mainly been made by contacting them one by one via on-call telephone. The new "Smart ACES", which uses a cloud system, can automatically call for medical staff using e-mail, LINE (freeware app for instant communications) and LINEWORKS(a business version of LINE). Since it can gather medical staff quickly and efficiently, it is expected to reduce the number of emergency patients who are refused transport.

To use "Smart ACES", all you need is a smartphone or PC that are already used in hospitals or individual staff members, and there is no need to install a new dedicated terminal. Hospitals can call out to their staff all at once and gather the necessary number of staff without wasting time, and in addition to one-way communication from the hospital side, staff can also send out information on how long it would take for them to arrive on site. In the event of a disaster, the system can also be used for safety confirmation.
This system has been patented (No. 6166114), and its effectiveness has been reported in papers.

In addition, it has been selected as one of the "Chiba City Trial Order Certified Products" in 2020 as an excellent new product (new product and new service) by a small and medium-sized enterprise that is expected to lead to the prevention of the new coronavirus infection, and Chiba City will provide PR and support for the introduction contract.

"Smart ACES" has already been experimentally introduced at national university hospitals and other institutions, and now it will be widely released for general hospitals with improved UI (user interface) and UX (user experience). One of the advantages of this system is that it is a scratch-built system developed mainly by medical institutions, so that functions can be added or changed flexibly if there is a request from medical institutions.

Smart119 Inc. was established by Dr. Takaaki Nakada, a professor specialized in emergency intensive care medicine, at Chiba University which is a national university corporation, based on his desire to introduce new technologies to the field of acute care and save many emergency patients with flexible and creative ideas. Many medical professionals, including doctors, paramedics, and nurses, have come together to contribute to a wide range of medical care in Japan.
