The "TRY! YAMANASHI! Demonstration Experiment Support Project" conducted a demonstration experiment of "Smart119"

We are pleased to announce that we will conduct a demonstration experiment of the emergency medical service "Smart119" (Patent No. 6875734) at the Higashi Yamanashi Fire Department, Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital, Yamanashi Kosei Hospital, and the University of Yamanashi Hospital on January 18, 2022.
The emergency medical information service "Smart119," which was adopted for the "TRY! YAMANASHI! Demonstration Experiment Support Project," is a system that supports the field activities of emergency teams by "requesting acceptance at once," "sharing information with medical institutions," and "building a smooth acceptance system," with the aim of resolving cases of emergency transport difficulties (emergency deliveries). The system was developed from the perspective of emergency and medical services, and is currently in operation in Chiba City.

Since the adoption of this support project, we have surveyed the number of emergencies, transport time, and the number of medical institutions in the area subject to the demonstration experiment, and are developing a system that is tailored to the characteristics of the area. level 1, the initial stage of the demonstration experiment, was conducted at the Higashi Yamanashi Fire Department on December 20, 2021.

As a result of an operational simulation comparing the time required to select and negotiate with a hospital in an emergency with conventional phone calls and with a batch request and information sharing system using Smart119 tablet terminals, this system reduced the time required to select and negotiate with a hospital by 34.8%, or an average of 1 minute and 48 seconds.

Based on these results, the final stage of the verification experiment, Level 2 and Level 3, will be conducted on January 18, 2022, as follows.

◆Implementation Guidelines
Date: Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Higashi Yamanashi Fire Department, Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital, Yamanashi Kosei Hospital, University of Yamanashi Hospital
Participation : Higashi Yamanashi Fire Department, Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital, Yamanashi Kosei Hospital, University of Yamanashi Hospital, Yamanashi Prefectural Government, Smart119 Inc.
Implementing team: One Ambulance team (Shioyama Ambulance)

◆Objective
Using the Smart119 system and a tablet, the team made a batch request to three medical institutions for acceptance of a fictitious emergency case, and measured the time required for hospital selection and negotiation. In addition to improving the efficiency of information transmission and shortening the time spent at the scene, we will verify the effects of reducing the workload and stress of emergency teams and the convenience of medical institutions.

Through a series of demonstration experiments, we aim to prove the effectiveness of the emergency medical information service "Smart119," eliminate cases of emergency transport difficulties (Ambulances being rejected from multiple hospitals) in Yamanashi Prefecture, and contribute to the establishment of a medical system that allows the citizens of the prefecture to feel secure.
