Emergency dispatch support system "Smart119" acquired a patent

Our emergency dispatch support system "Smart119" has been patented. The patent number is No. 6875734.

The emergency dispatch support system "Smart119," which was introduced to the Chiba City Fire Department in July 2020 and is installed and operated in the Fire Department Joint Center and 25 ambulances, was granted a patent on April 27. The system was developed based on the concept of "smart collection, processing, and sharing of patient information to realize quick and correct emergency medical care.

Patent number: Patent No. 6875734
Date of patent acquisition: April 27, 2021

The details of the patent are as follows.

[Subject matter]
The purpose of this patent is to provide an emergency dispatch support system for supporting emergency dispatch.

[Solution]
(1) Using the contents of the call and other information, compare it with other dispatch information, and estimate the patient's injury or illness.
(2) Medical institutions are displayed on the terminals of emergency workers as candidates for delivery destinations.
(3) The paramedics select a medical institution from (2) and make a request for acceptance.
(4) The medical institution that receives the request notifies whether or not it can accept the patient.
The medical institution that can accept the patient shares the patient's injury and illness information with the paramedics.

In this way, the IT system supports "selection of an appropriate hospital," "prompt delivery," and "prompt and accurate treatment after delivery," which are essential for acute care.

It has become a social issue that ambulances are not able to find a hospital to deliver them to and are turned back. As an emergency physician, I developed this system with the aim of solving this problem, improving the delivery of emergency medical services, and making citizens' lives safer. The system supports "lifesaving" by facilitating the series of procedures to bring in injured and sick patients quickly and provide appropriate treatment.

We have already developed "Smart:DR, ACES: Emergency Call System. We have already obtained patents for "Smart:DR, ACES: Emergency Request System, Patient Acceptance System Enhancement Service" (Patent No. 6166114) and "Disaster Information Management System (Triage System)" (Patent No. 6801848).

We will continue to contribute not only to the medical field but also to people in general by embodying our company's philosophy of "Innovation for the reliable future medical care".

◆How to wear a face mask properly
-Wash hands or disinfect hands before wearing
-Cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
-Do not touch the face mask after wearing it
-Make sure it is easy to breathe

◆How to choose a face mask
-Recommended disposable face masks
-Has multiple layers of non-woven fabric
-Has a nose wire

◆Fitting
If it needs to be adjusted many times, it is not fitting properly. Try a different type or brand.

◆Incorrect ways of wearing face masks
-Put it on your neck.
-Put it on your forehead
-Covering only the nose
-Hanging from one ear
-Drape it over the arm

◆Reasons why "sticking out the nose" is not a good idea
1) The nose expresses a large number of ACE2 receptors (*), so it is important to cover and protect it.
2) Respiratory droplets are also released from the nose, and if the face mask is not worn properly, droplets will leak through the gaps.
*ACE2 receptors are substances in the body that are thought to be related to corona infection.

◆Point 1: Self-monitoring to understand yourself
The brain determines the perception of stress, so the first step is to notice what you are reacting to. From this awareness, you will be able to find a way to cope with your stress.

◆Point 2: Self-management to cope on your own
1) Increasing opportunities of coping
Coping is a deliberate method of coping with stress.
-Find coping strategies to deal with stressors. Try to have more than one coping strategy.
-If one way of coping does not work, switch to another or combine them.

 Example: Usual evening drinking
 Basic action:
1. Wash your hands, 2. Drink from your favorite glass
 Coping behavior:
1. change the hand soap, 2. drink in a different glass

2) Don't get caught up in automatic thoughts
Automatic thoughts are the thoughts, images, and ways of perceiving things that pop into your head by themselves.
The way we perceive things is determined by our emotions.
 -Recognize your own thinking habits
-Don't get caught up in negative thoughts
-Be flexible with how you think
